ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ: ಅತಿ ಕಿರಿಯ ಹುತಾತ್ಮ ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದ ಸೆಹ್ವಾಗ್..!

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು[ನ.14]: ಇಂದು ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಡಗರ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಮಾಜಿ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟಿಗ ವಿರೇಂದ್ರ ಸೆಹ್ವಾಗ್, ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಣತೆತ್ತ 12 ವರ್ಷದ ಯುವ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರ ಬಾಜಿ ರಾವುತ್ ಎಂಬಾತನನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಶುಭಾಶಯ ಕೋರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೌದು, 12 ವರ್ಷದ ಈ ಯುವಕನಿಗೆ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರು ತೆಪ್ಪ[ದೋಣಿ]ದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣಿ ನದಿ ದಾಟಿಸಲು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಊರಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರು ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಮನಗಂಡು ಬಾಜಿ ರಾವುತ್ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆಗ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರು ರಾವುತ್’ನನ್ನು ಗುಂಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು 1938ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಸವಿವರವಾಗಿ ಇನ್’ಸ್ಟಾಗ್ರಾಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

On this #ChildrensDay it's time we know about Shaheed Baji Rout ,from Nilakanthpur in Orissa ,the youngest Martyr of India's freedom struggle. At the age of 12,this young boy was on guard of a country boat and was ordered by the British troop to ferry them across river Brahamani . Baji who had already heard details of the brutality of the troop which had killed innocent people in the village understood if the British troops were to be obstructed,then they needed to be stopped from going across to the other bank. He therefore refused to ferry them across. The troop threatened to kill him if he did not ferry them across immediately. Baji however rejected their orders. One of the British soldiers hit Baji's head with his gun butt that fractured his skull severely​. Baji collapsed,, but he rose again gathering whatever little strength and courage was left with him, and raising his voice to the highest pitch beyond even his strength, warned the British troops not to ferry them till alive. A soldier pierced his bayonet into the soft skull of Baji, Another British soldier started firing ruthlessly. While one of the bullets hit Baji and he lay dead, his other friends Laxman Malik,Fagu Sahoo, Hrushi Pradhan & Nata Malik were also killed. India's youngest martyr definitely deserves more recognition.Salute to one of he bravesrt child.

ದೋಣಿ ನಡೆಸುವ ರಾವತ್’ಗೆ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರು ಸೇನಾಪಡೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಕೇಳಿ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದ. ಅಮಾಯಕ ಜನರನ್ನು ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷ್ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯ ಮೆರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ರಾವುತ್ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರವಿತ್ತು. ಇಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲೇ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರು ನದಿ ದಾಟಿಸಲು ರಾವುತ್’ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆಗ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರು ನದಿಯ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯ ಮೆರೆಯುವುದನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷ್ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. 

ಆಗ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷ್ ಸೈನಿಕನೊಬ್ಬ ರಾವುತ್ ಮೃಧುವಾದ ತಲೆಗೆ ಬಂದೂಕಿನ ಬ್ಯಾನೋಟ್’ನಿಂದ ಚುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಸೈನಿಕ ನಿರ್ದಯವಾಗಿ ರಾವುತ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಗುಂಡಿನ ಮಳೆಗರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 5, 1926ರಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಿಶಾದ ದೇನ್’ಕಾನಲ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನೀಲಕಾಂತಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂದಾಯತ್ ಎಂಬ ಬಡ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಜಿ ರಾವುತ್ ಜನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಣ್ಣ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೇ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ ರಾವುತ್’ನನ್ನು ತಾಯಿ ಅವರಿವರ ಮನೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಓಡಿಶ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ವೆಬ್’ಸೈಟ್’ನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ಯುವ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಮರಳು ಕಲಾವಿದ ಸುದರ್ಶನ್ ಪಟ್ನಾಯಿಕ್ ಪುರಿ ಬೀಚ್’ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗೌರವ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
