ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು(ಫೆ.09): ಭಾರತ-ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ನಡುವಿನ ಮೊದಲ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ತಂಡವು 227 ರನ್‌ಗಳ ಅಂತರದ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಗೆಲುವು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಸರಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೋ ರೂಟ್ ಪಡೆ 1-0 ಮುನ್ನಡೆ ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಭಾರತದ ಪಿಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿರಾಟ್ ಕೊಹ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸುವುದು ಅಷ್ಟು ಸುಲಭವಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಿದ್ದೂ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ತಂಡ ಮೊದಲ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾಗೆ ಸೋಲಿನ ರುಚಿ ತೋರಿದೆ. ವಿರಾಟ್ ಕೊಹ್ಲಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ 2017ರ ಬಳಿಕ ತವರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಸೋಲು ಕಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ತವರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಮೊದಲ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಭಾರತ ಆಘಾತಕಾರಿ ಸೋಲು ಕಂಡಿದೆ.
ಚೆನ್ನೈ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಲು ಭಾರತ 420 ರನ್‌ಗಳ ಸವಾಲಿನ ಗುರಿ ಪಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಒಂದು ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ 92 ರನ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೇವಲ 2 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರಂಭವನ್ನೇ ಪಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ವೇಗಿ ಜೇಮ್ಸ್‌ ಆ್ಯಂಡರ್ಸನ್ ಒಂದೇ ಓವರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶುಭ್ಮನ್ ಗಿಲ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಜಿಂಕ್ಯ ರಹಾನೆ ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಕಬಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪಂದ್ಯದ ದಿಕ್ಕನ್ನೇ ಬದಲಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕನಿಷ್ಠಪಕ್ಷ ಡ್ರಾ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವಕಾಶವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಆ್ಯಂಡರ್ಸನ್ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದರು. ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ 92 ರನ್‌ನಿಂದ 117 ರನ್ ಕಲೆಹಾಕುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ 6 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸೋಲಿನ ಸುಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿತು.
