ಭಾರತ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದ ಬಿಷನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಬೇಡಿಯವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ನವದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರೆಳೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ವಯೋಸಹಜ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬೇಡಿಯವರು ಹಲವು ಸರ್ಜರಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
ನವದೆಹಲಿ(ಅ.23): ಭಾರತ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್‌ನ ಸ್ಪಿನ್ ದಂತಕಥೆ ಬಿಷನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಬೇಡಿ ಇಂದು ತಮ್ಮ 77ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರೆಳೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 1967ರಿಂದ 1979ರ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡದ ಅವಿಭಾಜ್ಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಬೇಡಿ, ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಪರ 67 ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ 10 ಏಕದಿನ ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದ್ದರು.
