ನಾಪೋಲಿ[ಜು.10]: ವರ್ಲ್ಡ್ ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸೈಡ್ ಕೂಟ 100 ಮೀಟರ್ ಓಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ದಾಖಲೆಯ ಒಡತಿ ದ್ಯುತಿ ಚಾಂದ್ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಜಯಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
23 ವರ್ಷದ ದ್ಯುತಿ ಚಾಂದ್ 11.32 ಸೆಕೆಂಡ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರಿ ಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾದರು. ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಲೇನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಚಾಂದ್ ಆರಂಭದಿಂದಲೂ ಮುನ್ನಡೆ ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಗುರಿಮುಟ್ಟುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾದರು.

ಇದೀಗ ಹಿಮಾದಾಸ್ ಬಳಿಕ ಓಟದ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನ ಗೆದ್ದ ಎರಡನೇ ಓಟಗಾರ್ತಿ ಎನ್ನುವ ಕೀರ್ತಿಗೂ ದ್ಯುತಿ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಮೊದಲು 2018ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಕಿರಿಯರ ಅಥ್ಲೀಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ 400 ಮೀಟರ್ ಸ್ಫರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಮಾದಾಸ್ ಚಿನ್ನ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಚಾರಿತ್ರಿಕ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.

ದ್ಯುತಿ ಚಾಂದ್ 2018ರ ಏಷ್ಯನ್ ಗೇಮ್ಸ್ ಟೂರ್ನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 100 ಮೀಟರ್ ಹಾಗೂ 200 ಮೀಟರ್ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕ ಜಯಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇದೀಗ ಚಿನ್ನ ಗೆದ್ದ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ದ್ಯುತಿ ಚಾಂದ್, ಹಿಂದೆ ತಳ್ಳಿದಷ್ಟು, ನಾನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠವಾಗಿ ಕಮ್ ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
