ಕೊಲಂಬೊ(ಜು.03): ಬಿಸಿಸಿಐ ದುರ್ಬಲ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ದ್ವೀಪ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಈ ಟೂರ್ನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಅವಮಾನಕಾರಿಯಾದದ್ದು ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ ಮಾಜಿ ನಾಯಕ ಅರ್ಜುನ ರಣತುಂಗ ಕಟು ಶಬ್ಧಗಳಿಂದ ಟೀಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿರಾಟ್ ಕೊಹ್ಲಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಮೊದಲ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಆಟಗಾರರು ಸದ್ಯ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಇವರ ಅನುಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಖರ್ ಧವನ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಭಾರತ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ತಂಡ ಸೀಮಿತ ಓವರ್‌ಗಳ ಸರಣಿಯನ್ನಾಡಲು ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾಗೆ ಬಂದಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ಬಿಸಿಸಿಐ, ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅವಮಾನವಿದು. ಶಿಖರ್ ಧವನ್ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ 6 ಆಟಗಾರರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್‌ಗೆ ಪಾದಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ.
ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ, ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್‌ಗೆ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ಕಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ದುರ್ಬಲ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ಕಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಅಸಹಾಯಕತೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಟಿವಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರಕ್ಕಾರಿ ಲಂಕಾ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಈ ಸರಣಿಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು 1996ರ ಏಕದಿನ ವಿಶ್ವಕಪ್ ವಿಜೇತ ತಂಡದ ನಾಯಕ ಅರ್ಜುನ ರಣತುಂಗ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ತಂಡವು ದಯಾನೀಯ ವೈಫಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸದ್ಯ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ತಂಡವು ಸತತ 5 ಸೋಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದೆ. ಟಿ20 ಸರಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಟ್‌ವಾಷ್ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ್ದ ಲಂಕಾ, ಇದೀಗ ಏಕದಿನ ಸರಣಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ವೈಟ್‌ವಾಷ್ ಅನುಭವಿಸುವ ಭೀತಿಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದೆ.
ಲಂಕಾ ಮಾಜಿ ನಾಯಕ ರಣತುಂಗ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ನೆಟ್ಟಿಗರು ಗರಂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶಿಖರ್ ಧವನ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾವನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸುವ ತಾಕತ್ತು ಲಂಕಾ ತಂಡಕ್ಕಿದೆಯೇ?, ಭಾರತದ ದೇಸಿ ತಂಡ ಈಗಿನ ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ ತಂಡಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
