ಚಂಡೀಗಢ[ಮಾ.26]: ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲವು ಎನ್ನಲಾದ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ನಿರ್ಮಿತ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಚಿನೂಕ್‌ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳು ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಗೆ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾಗಿವೆ.

ನಾಲ್ಕು ಚಿನೂಕ್‌ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇನೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ವಾಯುಪಡೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್‌. ಧನೋವಾ, ‘ರಫೇಲ್‌ ಯುದ್ಧ ವಿಮಾನದ ರೀತಿ ಚಿನೂಕ್‌ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳು ಗೇಮ್‌ ಚೇಂಜರ್‌ ಆಗಿವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ವೈವಿದ್ಯಮಯ ಭೂಪ್ರದೇಶವಾಗಿರುವ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರತೆಯ ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿವೆ. ಯಾವುದೇ ತಡೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಜಿಗಿಯುವ ಚಿನೂಕ್‌ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್‌ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸವಾಲನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಬಹುದು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

IAF received its first CH-47F (I) Chinook heavy-lift helicopter on 10 Feb 19 at the Mundra port in Gujarat. On 25 Mar 19, it will be formally inducted into the Helicopter fleet of IAF at Chandigarh.

ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಚಿನೂಕ್‌ ಪ್ರವಾಹ, ನೆರೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೂ ಅನುಕೂಲಕರವಾಗಿರಲಿದೆ. ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ, ಹಲವು ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಅವಳಿ ಇಂಜಿನ್‌ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದ ಚಿನೂಕ್‌ ಅನ್ನು ಸೇನಾಪಡೆಗಳ ರವಾನೆ, ಸಲಕರಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಧನ ಸರಬರಾಜಿಗೂ ಬಳಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.
ಚಿನೂಕ್‌ ಕೇವಲ ಹಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆಯೂ ಸೇನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.
