ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು(ಮಾ.06): ವಿರಾಟ್ ಕೊಹ್ಲಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಸ್ಟೇಡಿಯಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್‌ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಇನಿಂಗ್ಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ 25 ರನ್‌ಗಳ ಜಯ ಸಾಧಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ 4 ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಸರಣಿಯನ್ನು 3-1 ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈವಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಈ ಸರಣಿ ಗೆಲುವಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಐಸಿಸಿ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಶಿಪ್‌ ಫೈನಲ್‌ಗೆ ಅರ್ಹತೆಗಿಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಟಾಸ್ ಗೆದ್ದು ಮೊದಲು ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್‌ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್‌ ಮೊದಲ ಇನಿಂಗ್ಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 205 ರನ್‌ ಬಾರಿಸಿ ಸರ್ವಪತನ ಕಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಇದಕ್ಕುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಭಾರತ ರಿಷಭ್‌ ಪಂತ್‌ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಶತಕ ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಷಿಂಗ್ಟನ್ ಸುಂದರ್‌ ಅಜೇಯ 96 ರನ್‌ಗಳ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ 365 ರನ್‌ ಕಲೆಹಾಕುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೊದಲ ಇನಿಂಗ್ಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 160 ರನ್‌ಗಳ ಮುನ್ನಡೆ ಸಾಧಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಭಾರೀ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎರಡನೇ ಇನಿಂಗ್ಸ್ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್‌ ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಕ್ಷರ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಮಾರಕ ದಾಳಿಗೆ ತತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಕೇವಲ 135 ರನ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಲೌಟ್‌ ಆಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಇನಿಂಗ್ಸ್ ಸೋಲು ಕಂಡಿತು.
