ನಟಿ ಮೇಘನಾಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ರು ರಿಯಲ್ ಹೀರೋ!

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಂತಹ ಮಹಾನಗರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಅಪರಿಚಿತ ಮುಖಗಳೇ. ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಗಳು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಡಿಮೆ. ಯಾರು, ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಸಂಬಂಧವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವಂತೆ ಬದುಕುವವರೇ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ.  ಆದರೂ ಅಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬರು, ಇಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರು ಸಿಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಇರುವ ರಿಯಲ್ ಹೀರೋ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಮೇಘನಾ ಗಾಂವ್ಕರ್ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Meet Anna (that’s his name yes), a real life hero! One evening, I had parked my car at this particular parking area and went to watch a movie nearby. When I got back, it was pretty late at night and he was still there waiting near my car although I had paid for the parking before already. He waited there for me because I had left a window half open and hadn’t realised it obviously. He noticed some people trying to check if they could take advantage of the situation. This man stood next to my car for nearly 3-4 hours till I came back so that there was no mishap done with the car. I thanked him and tried to give him some money for what he had done and for his time. But he refused to take the money. These are the people my country is made of. These are the people humanity, dignity & goodness is about. It’s been three years since that incident. Each time I go there even now, I thank him and park the car in the same spot (with windows closed and checked properly ofcourse) and then go about doing my thing. This may sound too small a story but his good heart still makes me believe there are good people out there trying to do the good thing without expecting anything in return. We greet each other like friends now. We share a cup of chai occasionally and I pay him the normal amount of parking fees for his work there. I’m so proud that I know him. Last week, I decided to ask him if I could click a picture with him and post it. He was so cool about it. He’s probably the first guy I have ever asked for a picture with :)

ಮೇಘನಾ ಕಾರು ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು. ವಾಪಸ್ ಬರುವಾಗ ತಡರಾತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ವಾಪಸ್ ಬಂದು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಕಾರ್ ಪಾರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಯಾಕೆಂದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಕಾರ್ ಕಿಟಕಿಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಚ್ಚದೇ ಹೋಗಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಕಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಕಳ್ಳರು ತೆಗೆಯಬಾರದೆಂದು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಾ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ.  ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆಗೆ ಮೇಘನಾ ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಜೊತೆ ಫೋಟೋ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸೋಷಿಯಲ್ ಮೀಡಿಯಾಗೆ ಅಪ್ಲೋಡ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
